Proma ‘Green’

Proma Green Building Solutions.
Green is more than a corporate color at Proma, but a pledge of environmental responsibility that permeates all that we do.
Increased awareness and interest in the environmental and health impacts of buildings has led to widespread demand for safer products, and Proma has led the way in the tile and stone installation products industry. Many of Proma’s products have been formulated to have minimal impact on the environment, are safe to apply, and do not contribute to unfavorable jobsite conditions or adversely affect indoor air quality. Some also help contribute valuable points to LEED® certification, the accepted standard for Green Building in the construction industry.
LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Green Buildings Rating Systems™ are voluntary, consensus-based national standards for developing high performance, sustainable buildings. LEED Canada-NC Version 1.0 (New Construction & Major Renovations) is designed to assess the performance of commercial and institutional buildings and is organized into six categories of credits and prerequisites. A single product cannot determine whether a project obtains a LEED Credit. Points are awarded if the project design, the construction strategies deployed and the performance of products in aggregate attain the intents and requirements of the different credits.
Contribution
Certain Proma products and their multiple use characteristics, low VOC content and recycled contents can contribute toward attaining credit requirements of the Materials & Resources, Indoor Environmental Quality and Innovation in Design categories within the LEED Canada-NC Rating System Version 1.0. PROMA can supply letters of LEED credit conformity for our products upon request.
