Pro Mastic 2000 Low VOC

In keeping with this commitment, PROMA has introduced a new and improved eco-friendly formulation of its high-performance Pro Mastic 2000 (Type 1) tile adhesive. Since January 2011, this improved product has been classified as a low-emitting material contributing valuable points to LEED certification (U.S., Canada), the standard for Green Building in the construction industry.

Limits determined by the South Coast Air Quality Management District Rule no 1168 set a maximum VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) content of 65 g/L to be considered low emitting. Pro Mastic 2000 (Type 1) tile adhesive now exceeds this requirement with VOC content of 54 g/L to contribute EQc4.1 LEED credit for a low-emitting material.

Many PROMA products and their multiple use characteristics, low VOC content and recycled contents can contribute toward attaining LEED credit requirements. PROMA can supply letters of LEED credit conformity for Pro Mastic 2000 (Type 1) adhesive and all other qualifying products upon request.

Dear Friends: Over this past winter, the PROMA family lost one of its dearest members and founder, Mr. Gianni Broggi. Gianni Broggi was a true visionary that was loved and admired by his family, friends, colleagues, and industry peers. I am personally grateful and eternally proud to be his son, and it is with a very heavy heart that we say goodbye to this idealistic and loving man. You will be dearly missed.

As a career adhesive production plant specialist, my father’s dream was to provide a more quality oriented alternative to established installation and setting materials manufacturers by focusing on superior products and personalized service. In 1993, PROMA Adhesives Inc. was founded by my father on this ideal. Through his leadership, PROMA grew quickly into one of Canada’s leading manufacturers of adhesives and surface preparation products for the flooring industry. Several years ago, my father passed on this legacy to me in order to lead PROMA and shape its promising future. Thanks to the solid foundation built by my father, PROMA continues to engineer this future now. The company’s growth has been significant over the past few years and we have expanded our operations to ensure that our reputation for exceptional, personalized service continues unabated. Last spring, we expanded our production facilities effectively doubling our manufacturing capacity in order to better serve our customers’ growing needs. Manufacturing advancements, which include heavy investment in state-of-the-art equipment, have been made in order to pioneer a full-line of high-performance ‘LEED’ compliant, environmentally responsible floor covering adhesives in the years to come. In 1993, Mr. Gianni Broggi had a vision to create a tile and stone installation materials manufacturer that conducted business differently than companies already in the market.
